How I became an spanish Teacher?
From Engineering Dreams to Language Learning Adventures
Hey there! I’m a proud native Spanish speaker from the lively land of Venezuela, and let me tell you, I’ve got a story that’s all about curiosity, adventure, and following your dreams. Back in the day, I was this excited little girl who’d light up at the thought of learning something new. Yep, I was a bit of a nerd, and honestly, I loved every second of it.
My dad, bless his heart, was my biggest cheerleader. He always pushed me to go beyond the ordinary and reach for the stars. He believed in me like nobody else, and it gave me the courage to chase my wildest dreams. So, you know what? Numbers became my jam, and I thought, “Hey, I should be an engineer!” But life, being the wild ride it is, had other plans.
Then, problems begin
Turns out, after I finished my degree in Geological Engineering and became an engineer as I had always wanted; my country had a bit of a bumpy road in store and began to be a socialist country – I know, the worst. And the whole engineer gig didn’t seem all that promising. Too much work for too little pay, you know the drill. So, I took a U-turn and decided to give teaching a shot. After all, I was going to earn the same as an engineer (you know because of socialism!) Finished up a master’s in Geological Sciences to become a teaching pro, and here I am, at a university in my homeland, juggling the exciting roles of teacher and eternal learner.
And then some...
But, even back then, things didn’t go as planned – socialism took a downturn. So, I needed an extra source of income to cover my bills. You see, I’ve always had a natural gift for talking (some might say I talk a bit too much at times!). That’s when I realized I could put this gift to good use as a Spanish tutor.
Why, you ask? Well, because I’ve been in your shoes. I’ve learned a language myself and discovered how to make it not just bearable but genuinely enjoyable. I’m confident I can make your Spanish learning journey not just educational, but super fun too. After all, it’s the fun that keeps you going, and your progress reflects that dedication.
But fast forward to today...
I’ve been teaching Spanish for the past 5 years. It’s been an incredible journey, filled with excitement and a newfound passion. Teaching has become as dear to me as learning. Now, I’m dedicated to creating innovative ways to make learning Spanish engaging and enjoyable for new students. My goal is to help you fall in love with Spanish, just like I fell in love with my own journey of learning English.

I mean, who knew? I’m all about fun, I’ve got this outgoing vibe, and I’ve been told I’ve got the patience of a saint (well, at least most of the time).
And you know what's crazy?
I learn something new every single day, right alongside my students.
But hey....
life's not just about textbooks and lectures
I’ve got this wild bunch of hobbies, from sewing to rocking makeup like a pro, and I’m a total board game addict. You name it—dominoes, cards—I’m all in. And then there’s English, a language that swept me off my feet when I was just a kid. My dad tried to sprinkle some English into our car rides to school, and that’s when the magic happened.
Before I knew it
I was changing the language settings on my TV, my gadgets—you name it. I was soaking in English like a sponge, even if I didn't always understand everything. It was a rollercoaster, but man, was it a fun one.
Twenty years down the road
And I'm still at it. Teachers online, classes in person—I can't get enough. And here's the thing: I'm not stopping here. Portuguese is calling my name, and soon, I'm diving right in
You see, I'm a firm believer that anyone can learn a language if they're into it.
No magic tricks, no shortcuts—just dive in and make it part of your everyday.
Sure, there’ll be moments that drive you up the wall, but trust me, it’s also gonna be a heck of a good time.
