Hablemos de la caída de agua más alta del mundo, el salto Ángel. Un espacio natural impresionante. El cual en 1994 fue declarado patrimonio de la humanidad por la UNESCO. Ubicado en el parque nacional de Canaima en Venezuela. Con una caída de casi mil metros.
Para tener una idea de lo alta que es debes saber que es 17 veces más alta que las cataratas del Niágara. Lo habitan desde tiempos ancestrales los pemones, una tribu indígena. Y fue descubierto por un piloto estadounidense: Jimmy Ángel.
Por lo que la cascada lleva su nombre. Esta cascada se encuentra ubicada en montañas planas con paredes verticales, llamadas Tepuyes. La única forma de apreciar el Salto Ángel en todo su esplendor es desde una avioneta o un helicóptero. Así como también, por curiaras hechas por los mismos indios de la zona. Con una excursión de más de 3 horas a partir del puerto llamado Ucaima. Lo cual es una travesía bastante emocionante.
Otro salto que se encuentra en este parque nacional Canaima y que es muy visitado es: El salto de Kukenan. También existen otros con menos altura pero muy espectaculares. Se encuentran en otros lugares como: la laguna de Canaima, el Salto del Sapo y el Salto del Sapito, el salto de Yuri y la cueva de Uruyen. Como estos también existen un sinfín de lugares turísticos: cascadas, quebradas y poblados indígenas.
En Venezuela, existen excursiones donde los turistas contratan empresas para lograr llegar a los diferentes saltos de la localidad. Llegar al salto Ángel no es fácil, requiere conocimientos e información. Para ello, se navega por el rio y se camina largos trechos por la selva.
Esta Travesía incluye los ríos Corrao y Churùn. Y durante el viaje hacia el salto, puedes sentir la conexión con la energía del lugar, es una experiencia mágica que te purifica el alma y debes hacer al menos una vez en la vida.

In Venezuela, there are excursions where tourists hire companies to get to the different waterfalls of the town. Getting to Angel Falls is not easy, it requires knowledge and information. To do this, you navigate the river and walk long stretches through the jungle. This Crossing includes the Corrao and Churùn rivers. And during the journey to the waterfall, you can feel the connection with the energy of the place, it is a magical experience that purifies your soul and you must do at least once in your life.
