Hace unos días, estaba caminando por el parque cuando vi a una niña jugando con una pelota cerca de un estanque. Pensé que era muy probable que la pelota se cayera al agua si la niña no tenía cuidado. Mientras tanto, había un grupo de patos nadando en el estanque y me preguntaba si alguno de ellos se acercaría a la pelota si se caía.
De repente, la pelota se escapó de las manos de la niña y rebotó varias veces en el suelo antes de caer al agua. Los patos no parecieron darse cuenta de la pelota, pero la corriente del agua empezó a alejarla de la orilla. Pensé que era poco probable que la niña pudiera recuperar la pelota sin mojarse los zapatos.
Justo cuando estaba a punto de seguir mi camino, un perro apareció corriendo desde la dirección opuesta. El perro se detuvo en la orilla del estanque y miró la pelota flotando en el agua. Empezó a ladrar y saltar en el borde del estanque, haciendo que la niña se diera cuenta de la situación. Con cuidado, la niña se acercó al agua y logró recuperar la pelota con la ayuda del perro.
Me alegró ver que la pelota había sido recuperada y que la niña estaba feliz de nuevo. Pensé que la probabilidad de que la pelota se perdiera en el estanque era alta, pero gracias al perro, la niña pudo recuperarla sin problemas.
Translation A few days ago, I was walking in the park when I saw a girl playing with a ball near a pond. I thought it was very likely that the ball would fall into the water if the girl was not careful. Meanwhile, there was a group of ducks swimming in the pond and I was wondering if any of them would approach the ball if it fell. Suddenly, the ball escaped from the girl’s hands and bounced several times on the ground before falling into the water. The ducks didn’t seem to notice the ball, but the current of the water began to pull it away from the shore. I thought it was unlikely that the girl could retrieve the ball without getting her shoes wet. Just as I was about to continue on my way, a dog appeared running from the opposite direction. The dog stopped at the edge of the pond and looked at the ball floating in the water. He started barking and jumping on the edge of the pond, making the girl aware of the situation. Carefully, the girl approached the water and managed to retrieve the ball with the help of the dog. I was happy to see that the ball had been recovered and that the girl was happy again. I thought that the probability of the ball being lost in the pond was high, but thanks to the dog, the girl was able to recover it without problems.
